"I can truly say I had rather be at home at Mount Vernon with a friend or two about me, than to be attended at the seat of the government by the officers of the State and the representatives of every power in Europe."
–George Washington to David Stuart

Fabricut's Mount Vernon Vignettes was inspired by the refined taste of America's most famous general and president, George Washington. Over a period of 30 years, Washington not only expanded and furnished Mount Vernon – his beloved home on the banks of the Potomac River in Virginia – but also landscaped the immense estate; using the extensive acreage as part of a large, well-considered artistic plan.
This collection was licensed in conjunction with the Mount Vernon Ladies' Association, who purchased the estate in 1858 and have faithfully preserved and fully restored Washington's home to its original appearance. Fabricut's product designers found inspiration for this exclusive collection in various archives and items found at the estate including fragments of Martha Washington's dresses, the botanical gardens, decorative trim on a pair of Washington's pistol holsters and architectural elements from the Mansion. This collection is helping preserve a piece of our country's great history.
